USCIS EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program Stakeholder Meeting, Jan 23, 2012
On January 23, 2012 the USCIS Office of Public Engagement held an immigration stakeholders meeting to discuss the latest updates and changes in EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program from USCIS officials.
The following is the detailed information.
According to the Regional Center Data, there are currently 194 approved Regional Centers (RCs), operating in 40 states, including the District of Columbia and Guam.
Approximately 92% of the individual Form I-526 petitions filed each year are filed by Investors who are investing in RC-affiliated commercial enterprises.

According to the EB-5 Individual Petition Filing Receipts in FY12 the first quarter data, there are 1,293 Form I-526 Petition receipts and 250 Form I-829 petition receipts.
For the Form I-526 Petition Final Actions in FY12 Q1, 1,076 applications have been approved, showing the approval rate is 83%; and 222 applications have been denied, showing the denial rate is 17%.
In FY12 Q1, Form I-829 Petition Final Actions data indicates that there are 144 approvals and approval rate is 93%; 11 denied applications and denial rate is 7%.
The Department of State estimated as of Jan 17,2012 that the EB-5 visa issued in the first quarter of 2012 fiscal year is 2,364. The total EB-5 visa issued in FY2011 is 3,463.
